In his new role, Tobias will lead Pilotfish’s sales and marketing activities, strengthen relationships with customers and strategic partners, and contribute to the company’s continued growth in the international public transport market.
Tobias has held several senior executive positions throughout his career. At SolidWorks, he led the company’s Northern European business during a period of significant growth. He later joined Fält Communications (Fältcom) as Vice President Worldwide Sales, where he played a key role in the company’s international expansion, including the UK and US markets. He also served as Managing Director of Fältcom’s UK subsidiary.
Following Telia’s acquisition of Fältcom in 2017, Tobias continued in senior leadership positions within Telia’s IoT organisation, including Head of Vertical Sales for Public Transport and Partner Director. In these roles, he focused on developing connected solutions for public transport, building strategic partnerships and expanding business opportunities internationally.
This experience provides a strong foundation for his new responsibilities at Pilotfish, where increasing digitalisation, system interoperability and reliable onboard connectivity are central to the evolving needs of public transport operators and authorities.
“Tobias brings a strong combination of international commercial leadership and deep experience in connected public transport. He understands the challenges facing operators and authorities, as well as the importance of building strong, long-term relationships with customers and partners. His experience in developing international markets and translating technology into real customer value will be a valuable asset as we continue to strengthen Pilotfish’s position in the industry”, says Mats Johansson, CEO of Pilotfish Networks AB.
For Tobias, joining Pilotfish represents an opportunity to build on his experience in a sector undergoing significant technological transformation:
“Having worked with connected public transport and IoT for many years, I see tremendous opportunities in the continued digitalisation of the industry. The challenge is not simply to introduce more technology, but to ensure that different systems work together and create real value for operators, authorities and ultimately passengers”, says Andersson.
He continues:
“Pilotfish has a strong technological foundation and a clear focus on open standards and interoperability. I look forward to working with our customers, partners and the Pilotfish team to strengthen our market position and develop new business opportunities.”
With Tobias joining the management team, Pilotfish reinforces its commitment to combining technical expertise with strong customer relationships and long-term commercial development.
